18MillionRising.org (18MR.org) brings many disparate Asian American communities together online and offline to reimagine Asian American identity with nuance, specificity, and power. We are using this Asian American identity as the foundation to build a more just and creative world where our experiences are affirmed, our leadership is valued, and all of us have the opportunity to thrive.

Right To The City Alliance (RTC) emerged in 2007 as a unified response to gentrification and a call to halt the displacement of low-income people, people of color, marginalized LGBTQ communities, and youths of color from their historic urban neighborhoods. We are a national alliance of racial, economic and environmental justice organizations.

Advancement Project is a next generation, multi-racial civil rights organization. Rooted in the great human rights struggles for equality and justice, we exist to fulfill America’s promise of a caring, inclusive and just democracy. We use innovative tools and strategies to strengthen social movements and achieve high impact policy change.

The Center for Popular Democracy works to create equity, opportunity and a dynamic democracy in partnership with high-impact base-building organizations, organizing alliances, and progressive unions. CPD strengthens our collective capacity to envision and win an innovative pro-worker, pro-immigrant, racial and economic justice agenda.

NOWCRJ is a national organization based out of New Orleans, that was founded shortly after Hurricane Katrina. Against the backdrop of a political economy that pitted communities of color against each other, a group of Black and immigrant workers came together to build a new freedom movement: multi-racial, committed to racial, gender, and immigrant rights, and dedicated to telling a new story about possibility in the Southern region of this country.

Witness for Peace (WFP) is a politically independent, nationwide grassroots organization with a mission to support peace, justice and sustainable economies in the Americas by changing U.S. policies and corporate practices that contribute to poverty and oppression in Latin America and the Caribbean.

We’re organizing millions of people around a bold agenda for real change. Our agenda isn’t a list of policies the establishment says we can win. It reflects what communities across the country must win. Muslim Advocates is a national legal advocacy and educational organization that works on the frontlines of civil rights to guarantee freedom and justice for Americans of all faiths.

In partnership with communities, NESRI works to build a broad movement for economic & social rights, including health, housing, education and work with dignity.Based on the principle that fundamental human needs create human rights obligations on the part of government and the private sector, NESRI advocates for public policies that guarantee the universal and equitable fulfillment of these rights in the United States.

Within Our Lifetime is a national network of organizations promoting racial equity and healing to collectively build and sustain momentum for a movement to end racism within our lifetime. WOL seeks to complement the work of other groups that share this mission and to fill gaps where appropriate.

Prison Radio's mission is to challenge unjust police and prosecutorial practices which result in mass incarceration, racism and gender discrimination. We do this by bringing the voices of men, women and kids into the public debate and dialogue on crime and punishment. Our radio broadcasts help spur the public to examine core issues that create crime and heighten disenfranchisem*nt. Our educational materials serve as a catalyst for public activism, strengthening movements for social change.

BYP 100 is an activist member-based organization of Black 18-35 year olds, dedicated to creating justice and freedom for all Black people.

MomsRising.org is an on-the-ground and online grassroots organization of more than a million people who are working to achieve economic security for all moms, women, and families in the United States. MomsRising is working for paid family leave, earned sick days, affordable childcare, and for an end to the wage and hiring discrimination which penalizes so many mothers.

Native Public Media promotes healthy, engaged, independent Native communities through media access, ownership and control.

Million Hoodies Movement for Justice is a Black and Brown-led racial justice network that builds next generation leaders to end mass criminalization and gun violence. We are a mass organization of human rights leaders confronting anti-black racism and systemic violence through grassroots organizing, advocacy, and education.

The American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) is a Quaker organization that promotes lasting peace with justice, as a practical expression of faith in action. Drawing on continuing spiritual insights and working with people of many backgrounds, we nurture the seeds of change and respect for human life that transform social relations and systems.

The Praxis Project is a nonprofit movement support intermediary and an institution of color that supports organizing and change work at local, regional and national levels.Focused on movement building for fundamental change, their mission is to build healthy communities by changing the power relationships between people of color and the institutional structures that affect their lives.

Since 1969 the nonprofit National Consumer Law Center® (NCLC®) has used its expertise in consumer law and energy policy to work for consumer justice and economic security for low-income and other disadvantaged people, including older adults, in the U.S.

BAJI is an education and advocacy group comprised of African Americans and black immigrants from Africa, Latin American and the Caribbean. It was founded in April 2006 in response to the massive outpouring of opposition of immigrants and their supporters to the repressive immigration bills then under consideration by the U.S. Congress.

WAM! connects, supports and organizes media makers, activists, academics and funders working to advance women’s media participation, ownership and representation. Their work is part of an advocacy movement for gender justice in media.

The Prometheus Radio Project is a non-profit organization founded by a small group of radio activists in 1998. Prometheus builds, supports and advocates for community radio stations that bring together and empower local, participatory voices and movements for social change. To that end, we demystify technologies, the political process that governs access to our media system, and the effects of media on our lives and our communities.

The Human Rights Defense Center is dedicated to protecting the human rights of people held in U.S. detention facilities and their families.

Making Contact produces media that analyzes critical social and environmental issues and showcases grassroots solutions in order to inform and inspire audiences to action.

The Institute’s mission is to provide innovative strategies, working models and timely information to support environmentally sound and equitable community development. To this end, ILSR works with citizens, activists, policymakers and entrepreneurs to design systems, policies and enterprises that meet local or regional needs; to maximize human, material, natural and financial resources; and to ensure that the benefits of these systems and resources accrue to all local citizens.

Common Frequency is a nonprofit dedicated to innovative new community and college radio. By providing free and low-cost aid to regular people educating themselves to be the media, Common Frequency has been supporting the launch of grassroots stations since 2006.

Common Cause is the original citizens’ lobby, founded in 1970 by John Gardner, and still battling for open, honest and accountable government in Washington, D.C. and in all 50 states.

The Center for Social Inclusion works to identify and support policy strategies to transform structural inequity and exclusion into structural fairness and inclusion. They work with community groups and national organizations to develop policy ideas, foster effective leadership and develop communications tools for an opportunity-rich world in which we all will thrive no matter our race or ethnicity.

The Center for Digital Democracy (CDD) serves a vitally important mission protecting the privacy and welfare of the public in the “Big Data” digitally driven marketplace. CDD’s work helps nonprofits, the news media, policymakers, and concerned citizens/consumers understand and address the online business practices that increasingly influence our lives. We position ourselves on the cutting edge of commercial digital media developments, analyzing how the dramatic expansion of online and offline information collection, the use of sophisticated data analysis, and advances in the creation and delivery of personalized marketing are used to target individuals, families, and communities. CDD especially focuses on key areas it believes has a crucial impact on a person’s financial security, health, children, and civil rights. By combining advocacy, industry research, coalition- building, and media outreach, CDD helps hold accountable some of the most powerful forces shaping the destiny of the world—especially those companies that dominant the global Internet landscape.

Arts & Democracy helps build a movement of work that cross-fertilizes arts and culture, participatory democracy, and social justice. We do this through cultural organizing, capacity building, artist residencies, and by shaping policy and creating spaces for reflection and connection. Our focus is on historically disenfranchised communities. We put arts and culture on agendas where it hasn’t been before, connect artists, activists, and policymakers who wouldn’t otherwise know each other, and create the connective tissue and generative environment needed for transformative collaborations to succeed.
