Research by Skyline Social has revealed the top 10 most influential celebrity endorsements, showing how these high-profile partnerships shape consumer interest and brand impact. The study analyzed 86 celebrity-brand collaborations based on the average number of monthly searches to discover which names and brands have the most enduring appeal.
At the top of the list is Tiger Woods and Nike, generating 3,860 monthly searches. Despite the 27-year collaboration ending this past April, Woods’ role in promoting Nike’s athletic gear, especially during his wins, still resonates. His commercials, including the “Never” ad narrated by his father, are some of the most memorable sports endorsements in history.
Kim Kardashian’s partnership with SKIMS ranks second with 1,627 monthly searches. The business mogul recently starred in a popular commercial, Skims Lab, where she showcases designs from her own shapewear line to Gary Wright’s “Dream Weaver.” The SKIMS brand, co-founded by Kardashian, continues to gain attention across nearly all U.S. states, underscoring its influence in the shapewear industry.
Kendall Jenner’s Pepsi ad takes the third spot with 1,152 searches. Though the 2017 commercial drew widespread criticism for its insensitive messaging regarding social justice, it remains one of the most-discussed endorsements to date. Pepsi swiftly pulled the ad and issued a public apology. This reminds us of a lot of the Michael Jackson Pepsi commercial where his hair caught on fire on set.
In fourth, Ryan Reynolds’ partnership with Mint Mobile draws 994 monthly searches. Reynolds, a part-owner of the company, has starred in humorous commercials, including one where he pokes fun at corporate clichés with a PowerPoint presentation.
Rounding out the top five is Travis Scott’s collaboration with McDonald’s at 859 monthly searches. Scott’s meal combo, designed around his favorite order, caused a viral sensation when it launched in 2020. It led to a higher demand and selling out at various locations.
Other notable endorsements include Pharrell Williams and Louis Vuitton (ranked sixth) with 698 searches, celebrating his work as the brand’s Men’s Creative Director. Also, Justin Bieber’s ongoing Calvin Klein partnership, which has maintained its influence since 2014. Pop star Dua Lipa’s collaboration with Versace, Kevin Hart’s partnership with Fabletics, and Timothée Chalamet’s role with Chanel also make the top 10, highlighting these stars’ continued sway over brand interest.
As Ash Davis, CEO of Skyline Social, notes, these partnerships show just how powerful celebrity endorsements can be. They each create a memorable and lucrative alignment for brands looking to stand out in a competitive market.
