The Gerrity Chapter finished off a big week at Tinker and the Primes by doing one of the things we do best - GOLF! The Annual AFA Gerrity Chapter Golf Tournament was a big success, thanks to the generous support of our Players, Sponsors and Donors, making it possible to Advocate, Support STEM Education programs, and provide programs and projects supporting our Total Force. It’s why we do what we do! And now for a word from our Gerrity Chapter President…

The Gerrity Chapter would like to recognize long time chapter member John Traugott for more than 20 years as the Golf Committee Chair and driving force behind our successful annual fundraiser! With this final tournament as Chair now complete, please know you have enabled us to Advocate, Educate and Support in so many ways - your reach has been extensive. Thank you, John, from the bottom of our hearts.

Teamwork makes the dream work! Another big week for our Gerrity Chapter - as we participated in Tinker and the Primes Requirements Symposium. Our booth presence made it possible to connect with so many different facets of the aerospace community, and our #AFA Community Partners reception was a big success as Gerrity President Walter Kula and VP for Community Partners Marc Stewart shared AFA news and information with a full room. State Senator and huge Gerrity Chapter supporter Brenda Stanley did a fantastic job emceeing the entire show, and brought ALL the energy! Thank you Chip Chambers and Tonja Norwood for all the hard work and support!!

Today Chapter President Walt Kula and Executive Vice President Tim Frisby had lunch with Brig Gen Amrhein, U.S. Air Force Recruiting Commander. We discussed the new AF and AFA program: AFA Advocates to Inspire Military Service (AIMS).https://www.afa.org/aims/

Great example of who we are and what we do...

What. A. Weekend. We AFA-ed HARD, y’all!! Baseball, golf, a meeting with Tinker leaders, a “family“ dinner, a day of great sessions and information, a reception with community partners and leaders, and a banquet with guest speaker Col Ken Voigt, 552nd ACW Commander - to close it all down. Texoma Region President Dan Ohnesorge led it all (and kept us in check!) We were delighted to host President & CEO Burt Field and Vice Chairman of the Board, Field Operations Chris Canada, MBA, PMP, CSM, and truly appreciate their time and the great info they shared. Special thanks to The Mitchell Institute for Aerospace Studies Dean David A. Deptula who literally hopped off a plane from Israel and joined us online for an amazing report. And finally, thank you to all who joined us, and special thanks to the leaders and volunteers who made it happen with flawless execution!
